Mark Teixeira played on the Texas Rangers.  The Rangers play a big wild card game against the Baltimore Orioles on Friday.  Teixeira plays on the New York Yankees that may play one of the AL teams in the next round of the playoffs.

Thanks to Spiegel for starting this thing!  This one is for you Dodgers or Big Billsey fans.  A rather interesting and ultimately disappointing year for our boys in Blue, but Billingsley had a rather nice season for himself.  This is what I have for trade:

Up For Trade - Joe Panik - Bowman Platinum - Auto Relic /199

A HUGE thanks to Michael for starting this blog, it's going to be a fun place for all of us to show off our trade bade and initiate some trade action!

For my first post on this blog, I'm going to offer up a card from 2012 Bowman Platinum - a slick refractor autographed relic of Joe Panik, a decent prospect in the San Francisco Giants system.

What I am I looking for in return? Since this is a prospect auto/relic, I'd probably looking for something similar of an Astros prospect or regular player. These are running about $7-15 on the eBay market, so that'll give you an idea of the value range I'd be looking for!

Intro to the New Blog

I wrote a post on my other blog yesterday about starting a trade bait blog with some other collectors.  The feedback went well and people seemed interested.  After getting some good comments about this idea, I decided to start another blog aside from Nomo's Sushi Platter.

I thought that a multi-person blog was the best route to go.  Get a handful of bloggers and have them write simple posts of cards that they want to trade to a fellow collector.

The posts will be one picture of one card.  The post should also include a brief description of that one card and the posters contact info.

The interested trader should comment on the post and make an offer for the pictured card.  Very simple concept that I think should go over well.  We all love to trade cards and Blog of Trade Bait will be your one stop for some nice cards for trade.

If anyone else is interested in being a contributor to this blog please email me or one of the other bloggers involved in this project.

Let us start this blog with a bang!
